Sprayed Edge Fulfillment Update

UPDATE – July 1, 2026

Approximately 30 sets are currently being finished up at the sprayer and should ship out to us soon. Once these go to readers we will have 30 orders remaining in the queue.

Our goal is to have all remaining Ravenhood Kensington Edition sprayed-edge orders completed by the end of August.

Thank you all for your incredible patience and support while we work toward the finish line. We know this has been a long journey, and we truly appreciate everyone who has stayed with us through the delays.

We'll continue providing updates as fulfillment progresses and will keep everyone informed as more inventory arrives.

UPDATE – June 19, 2026

We’re excited to share another Ravenhood Kensington Edition sprayed-edge update!

We recently received 30 additional sets back from the sprayer. Kate has already signed them, and our team will begin shipping these orders out early next week.

This leaves approximately 57 orders remaining in the queue. We also have additional shipments expected to arrive throughout July, which will allow us to continue fulfilling the remaining orders as quickly as possible.

UPDATE – May 19, 2026

We are happy to share that the spraying machine is officially back up and running again!

Our fulfillment team has resumed production and is actively working through the remaining Ravenhood Kensington Edition sprayed-edge orders. We currently have approximately 87 orders left in the queue.

Please note that Kate and the crew will be leaving for the Birds of a Feather signing tour and will arrive back starting 06/8/26. During that time, shipments will temporarily pause and no orders will be going out until the team returns.

Once everyone is back, fulfillment and shipping will resume immediately in the order purchases were received.

We truly appreciate everyone’s patience and support while we worked through the machine issues and appreciate your continued understanding during the tour schedule as well.

UPDATE – April 27, 2026

We wanted to share a quick status update on the Ravenhood Kensington Edition sprayed-edge sets.

At this time, the spraying machine is still down, and our fulfillment team continues working to get it back up and running as quickly as possible.

We currently have approximately 87 orders remaining in the queue. Once the machine is operational again, we will immediately resume shipping and continue fulfilling orders in the order they were received.

We understand how frustrating delays can be and truly appreciate your continued patience while we work through this issue.

We will provide another update as soon as we have more information.

UPDATE – April 15, 2026

We did run into a temporary snag with the spraying machine. The machine is currently down at this time, and our fulfillment team is actively working to get it back up and running.

Because of this, shipping will be briefly paused while we resolve the issue.

Once everything is back online, we will resume fulfillment and continue working through orders in the order they were received.

We will provide another update next week with more details on timing and progress.

UPDATE – March 27, 2026

We wanted to share a quick update on the Ravenhood Kensington Edition sprayed-edge sets.

An additional 15 sets have arrived and are currently being prepped. These will begin shipping out next week.

After this round of shipments, we will be down to 99 remaining orders in the queue.

We are continuing to receive inventory in smaller batches of 30–50 sets, allowing us to steadily work through orders in the order they were received.

We are making consistent progress and truly appreciate your patience and support as we work toward completing fulfillment.

UPDATE – March 16, 2026

We wanted to share the latest progress on the Ravenhood Kensington Edition sprayed-edge sets.

Of the 45 sets that were expected, 30 have arrived and are in acceptable condition. These sets are currently being processed and will begin shipping out this week.

After these shipments go out, approximately 114 orders will remain in the fulfillment queue.

We anticipate receiving another batch of 30–50 sets by the end of this month or the first part of next month, which will allow us to continue fulfilling orders on a first-come, first-served basis.

Progress is steady, and we are moving through the remaining orders as quickly as possible. We truly appreciate your continued patience and support while we complete this process.

UPDATE – February 4, 2026

Due to ongoing weather-related delays, we have not received any additional books since our last update.

That said, after reconciling and adding additional verified orders into the system, the total number of Ravenhood – Kensington Edition orders remaining in the fulfillment queue has increased.

Current Status:

  • No new shipments received due to weather delays

  • 45 full sets are currently in the sprayed-edge process and are expected to ship back to us later this month

  • 145 total orders currently remain in the fulfillment queue

  • We have received 20 full sets of the Ravenhood – Kensington Editions.
    These sets will be shipping out this week 

  • An additional 50 full sets are currently in the sprayed-edge process and are expected to ship back to us early next month.

  • At this time, there are 148 Ravenhood – Kensington Edition orders remaining in the fulfillment queue.

  • We have received 18 Full Sets of Ravenhood- Kensington Edition and they are shipping out this week.  We have another shipment on its way and plan to have Kate sign them and get them out at the end of next week. 
  • It is slow but steady
  • 50 of the first 100 copies (sets) are currently being sprayed and are expected to ship back to us early next month.
  • An additional 100 copies are being sent to the sprayer and are scheduled to begin production in February.
  • We currently have 160+ Ravenhood Kensington orders in the fulfillment queue.

Current Status Overview
All sprayed-edge orders have now shipped except for The Ravenhood – Kensington Editions.

The Ravenhood – Kensington Editions

  • The first 100 copies (sets) are currently being sprayed and are expected to ship back to us early next month.
  • An additional 100 copies are being sent to the sprayer and are scheduled to begin production in February.
  • We currently have 180+ Ravenhood Kensington orders in the fulfillment queue.
  • As we move closer to completion, we will continue to provide weekly updates whenever possible.

UPDATE- December 2, 2025

  • One Last Rainy Day - We currently have 20 orders entered since November.
    These books are already at the sprayer and have requested these to be sprayed before the Ravenhood are started
  • The Ravenhood- Kensington Editions- We currently have 175+ Ravenhood orders in queue. The books are on the way to the new sprayer and we are set to start production of this after the 20 are sprayed for One Last Rainy Day.

UPDATE — November 21, 2025

The form submission deadline has now expired, and we are no longer taking new orders. This form has been open to the public since May, and there has to be a firm end point so we can complete the remaining orders.

We originally provided an estimated fulfillment window of 9–12 weeks for forms submitted after September 15, and an October 25 timeframe for earlier submissions. Unfortunately, we were unable to meet that timeline for The Ravenhood Trilogy – Kensington Edition.

Why the Delay?

The hand-sprayed ombré design for this set spans three books, and the level of complexity has created significant production bottlenecks. We contracted multiple hand-sprayed edge companies, but they simply cannot keep up with the volume. Most of these artists are very small businesses, and managing the logistics at this scale has become unworkable.

Because of this, we’ve made the decision to shift from hand-sprayed edges to digital sprayed edges for the Ravenhood Trilogy.

What’s the Difference?

  • Digital sprayed edges are still a type of sprayed edge, but the artwork is applied using a digital printing process.

  • Hand-sprayed edges and stenciled edges are done manually.

  • Digital printing allows for consistent, precise artwork—especially important for a three-book wraparound design like Ravenhood.

Order Volume & Fulfillment Pace

We currently have 175+ Ravenhood orders in queue. We are fulfilling in the order we received your form.

With the digital transition in place, we can now complete approximately 50 sets per month, starting immediately.

We know you’ve already waited far too long and we truly are sorry. But the good news is:
All remaining Ravenhood sets will be in everyones hands within 3–4 months.

We know this isn't what you originally ordered, but this is the best and most reliable path forward for Kate’s readers and ensures the high-quality finish you deserve.

If you are outside the United States and have more than one order including the Ravenhood, we will hold your shipment until your Ravenhood set is completed.
International shipping is extremely expensive, and combining shipments is the most cost-effective solution for us.

We’re Taking Over Fulfillment

We’ve officially taken over the entire fulfillment process and have contracted a new partner to spray the edges.  KLS Press will ensure your books are finally delivered. Beginning June 30, 2024, we’ll be shipping approximately 60 orders per week until all are fulfilled.

And here's some good news? Kate will be signing each copy just for you.

We’re doing everything in our power to move quickly, and if we’re able to finish sooner than expected—we absolutely will.

That said, we’ve inherited a heavy lift: Bookish Boutique left behind 905 unfulfilled orders, which we now need to manually enter and verify one by one. We’re devastated it came to this, but we’re committed to seeing it through.

One Last Rainy Day Update--  We have 444 orders to fulfill for One Last Rainy Day, but the book is now out of print.
